Vienna, 04 July 2019 - GG has already achieved TISAX® certification in the course of the first audit - a great achievement, as the TISAX® audit is extremely complex and places high demands on audited companies. TISAX® stands for Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange and focuses on information security, operational security, prototype protection, third-party integration and data protection.
"In our role as an accredited TISAX® testing service provider, we intensively tested the Gebauer & Griller group of companies with locations in Austria and Germany with regard to information security according to VDA ISA, based on ISO/IEC 27001," says Sven Wollrabe, Project Manager TISAX® Assessments / Audit Services at OS. "OS has been providing services for the evaluation of information security in the automotive industry for many years. At Gebauer & Griller, we were able to optimally contribute this specific automotive expertise as part of a TISAX® assessment. Thus we can confirm that Gebauer & Griller meets the TISAX® requirements with high quality", summarizes Sven Wollrabe.
Alex Ebner (CIO) and Chuks Ojeme (CISO) at GG, are pleased that Operational Services has confirmed the effectiveness and efficiency of the implemented technical and organizational measures (TOMS) through an intensive audit and that the information security management system (ISMS) of GG, the handling of prototypes and 3rd-party connections with TISAX® labels has been awarded a very high level of protection.
Since GG carries out a large part of the product development together with its customers, the protection of the consistently sensitive, exchanged data has the highest priority. Particularly with prototypes, it must be ensured that all participants in the value chain have uniform IT security standards.
The TISAX® certification valid for the next 3 years is a prerequisite for the continuation of GG's successful cooperation with numerous automobile manufacturers and suppliers from the EU region. "The fact that GG passed this demanding audit right the first time is a reason to be proud and clearly shows that data and information security is already a living and functioning practice across the most diverse areas of our company," explains CEO Eva Schinkinger.
The TISAX® audit took place from April 2 to April 11, 2019 and covered the GG sites in Vienna, Poysdorf, Munich, Ingolstadt and Sindelfingen. Vienna and Poysdorf achieved the ISMS (Management System for Information Security) label for very high protection. In addition, the German GG branches were certified with the label for prototype protection and protection in connection with third parties.
